Bike riding!

Dave bought the girls each a "run" bike this spring. It is a bike without pedals that is supposed to help them learn how to balance quicker. After months of indoor riding and then a month of riding on the grass in the backyard, Dave decided it was time to hit the road (good thing Mom was going out that night!) They are loving it so much and Sydney especially is really getting the hang of it. She does laps around Kiley and hates coming inside! Kiley takes it slow and steady which surprised us but she is catching on quickly as well.

Cabin in August

We had a great weekend up at the cabin with the Hildee-Camps (my sis and family) in August. The kids had a blast and played great together. The weather wasn't perfect but we got in some quadding, boating and relaxing (sorta) so all is good and can't wait to do it again!

So Daddy took her for a ride. She absolutely LOVED every minute of it and wasn't too happy to have to get off and give her sister a turn.

It was so hot out this year that Dave bought the girls a soaker hose to keep us cool outside....

...the only problem was they thought sucking on it was the best way to cool down!

We hooked up the bike trailer again and found a perfect trail by the river here for a family ride. The girls love it and we make sure to stop and play at the park too!

We are thoroughly enjoying having a big backyard for the girls to play in! The girls love to play with the hose and water all the plants, but mostly themselves. We were going through many outfits a day since when they get a drop on them they want to get changed. Eventually that evolved into just wearing no clothes at all....

Kiley and Sydney's 2nd Birthday!

The girls had a fabulous 2nd Birthday party with both of our families here to help celebrate. We had postponed their party by a month so we could get settled in our new place therefore they were actually 25 months old that week! The weather was so hot outside but I think that everyone had a great time....

Nana and Grandpa got the girls a singing card that they LOVED! Kiley is doing the actions here for the itsy bitsy spider.

They were, and still are, so excited about their new Dora beds from Nana and Grandpa. They use them everyday!

They played so nicely in it together. Then someone realized that they had smuggled a huge bowl of BBQ potato chips inside and had eaten the whole bowl right down to licking the bottom. I guess that's why they say to check on kids when they are being really quiet :)

Sydney has made that seat her own and loves to sit on her porch, which does seem to fit her personality of hanging back a bit and taking it all in.
