Where has November gone??

We cannot believe how fast November has gone although we are so looking forward to Christmas this year! The girls are talking up a storm and more importantly we can understand them more often! They are definitely on the run everyday now and keep us laughing at their distinct personalities and sense of humour. Sydney loves to give kisses and Kiley loves to psych her out by pretending to want a kiss and then backs away at the last second! What a meanie :) but she does it to us too...we are lucky if we get a real kiss cause she usually just gives cheek! Sydney loves to make funny little sounds now and it cracks us up which she thinks is hilarious. They both bring us so much joy, when they're not driving us crazy that is!

So much fun to ride on the vacuum!

They love to wear their hats in the house but always take them off when we are outside-go figure....

Full of mischief!

Kiley pushing her stuffed puffin in the doll stroller and Sydney coming around the corner behind her! They will push anything that moves around the house. Dining room chairs, highchairs, laundry baskets but the Fisher Price toy garage station is their favorite for sure! It makes the loudest sounds scratching up our floors no doubt!

Always happy (well almost always :)

Having a seat on her bus.

Playing outside in the cold. Wish I had an outfit like that to keep warm in!

When Trees Fall - The work is just beginning!

After a summer of wind storms and some concern about the dead trees threatening our cabin and the neighbors, Steve arranged to have a professional take down some of the precarious trees around the cabin property. Five trees in total came down with ease as the pro and his crane had it done in 3 hours. This is where the work began for us though. We now have enough wood for a couple of years....with Grandpa's help, it took a few days to clean up and move the wood around.

Here is Grandpa with the trusty splitter and the beginning of his pile of wood. This is about half way in our 4 hours of splitting wood. Working with the timbers brought back some thoughts of when he used to work rolling logs for cutting - back in the day. You wood never know this man's age by the way he split this wood!

Here is a 10th of the logs that the trusty quad dragged around from the top of the property. The new wood shelter will certainly come in handy.

Thank goodness for the splitter. 4 Hours - $65.00 - best damn money I have spent! I think I actually may be able to walk the next day versus cutting by hand.

It wouldn't be right to not have a "fire shot" with Grandpa. It snowed almost 5cm during the day. Winter is here! Time to break out the new winter toy! It is also time to pick up the girls some "mini-z" snowmobiles to match Dad's new one!

Growing Up Way Too Fast!!!!

Sydney and Kiley are now 16 months! Their personalities are shining through and already they have Dad wrapped around their fingers....

Here is Sydney sporting one of Mom's old hats (and some drool :).

Both girls are running around and talking Alien! A couple of words are starting to shine through. The girls are saying Mom, Dad, Nan, UP (Sydney's favorite), woof (Kiley's favorite), hat, and sometimes they repeat other words but just generally babble nonstop. They are forever blowing our minds with what they can comprehend already.

Happy Halloween!

Sydney and Kiley's 2nd Halloween was a jungle of fun. We broke out the makeup and dressed the gals up as Giraffes. Way too cute!

Kiley

Sydney

We went to the Sahali Mall where we saw thousands of ghosts, goblins and superheros. Our girls fit in just fine with their Giraffe Ark - (AKA - Dad pulling girls in wagon).

It is certainly tough to keep the Giraffe heads on 16 month old toddlers...

And Off to Nan's for Food, Candy and Fun.

Caged in at Nan's!
