Happy Easter

Jayden, Devyn, Kiley, Sydney and Jarett on Good Friday
.
.
We had a fantastic Easter weekend this year being, of course, the girls first! We made it to Vernon on Friday to spend Easter with my family and then on Sunday we had dinner with Dave's family in Kamloops (except for Megan who was in Penticton). The girls were very spoiled as always and we were spoiled with a great lunch in Vernon (with a very fancy Easter cake too-yum :) and a very tasty turkey dinner here in Kamloops! We are just so happy to be close now to see everyone this Easter.

At the pool again!

This time we all went-Nana, Dad, Mom and the girls! It was much easier to have 3 people to get us all in and out quickly. Sydney loves the pool so much and had a blast trying to get the water to splash into her mouth. Kiley likes the water but the people and noise definitely got the best of her and she didn't enjoy it as much. Too many bigger kids splashing... and her sister!!

She swallowed half the pool I'm sure

Doing the backstroke

Peek a boo princesses

Kiley playing peek a boo in the mirror on the exersaucer.

Playing shy with the face in the mirror

Sydney is obsessed with Dad's hat! Who is that guy??

Sydney is sitting so well but I still put something behind her just in case. When she does fall she hasn't learned how to sit up again so she looks at you like "help me!" Heaven forbid she try to get up on her own...such a princess!

Sittin pretty

They love being in their highchairs without the trays. They feel like such big girls I think. They can grab their feet and see Kiera really well-what more can a girl ask for??

Sydney loves Kiera so much and thinks she is just hilarious. She laughs and laughs when Kiera is around. Kiley is a little more wary but still loves to pet her...which means grabbing and pulling her fur. We are trying to teach her how to pet nicely but at least poor Kiera is patient!

8 months old today!

Walking in Peterson Creek Park a few weeks ago. This trail leads from behind our house to downtown.

We cannot believe how the time has flown by! The girls are 8 months old already! Sydney had 2 bottom teeth break through on Saturday. She is sitting so well on her own now and trying to push forward when she is on her belly (which isn't very often since she is NOT a fan of it!). Kiley is happier on her tummy and is such a squirmer! When we put her on the floor she moves all over the place. Kiley loves to click her tongue and make lots of noise whenever possible. Both girls are saying momomom but I am sure have no idea that it means anything! I am encouraging that though along with dadada of course :) We were trying to get to Vernon to visit over the last few weeks but have yet to get there unfortunately! We had a great visit from Auntie Wendy, Devyn and Inez last week though and got to see how much Devyn has grown and changed also- makes us wish we were even closer! We can't wait until the girls travel better, hopefully by the summer....

Playin in the bumbo chairs

Kiley was sitting up and when I turned around for a second I look back and she is in the basket of toys!

Smiley Kiley

The girls both think that Kiera is fascinating. Kiera is just happy for the attention I am sure!

Sydney and Kiley - Babies are growing fast

The girls are getting bigger every day. This picture is a bit blurry but they look so cute in the shirts Dad bought them for Valentines day! Sydney looks so much taller in all the pictures but when we had them weighed and measured, with their shots the other day, we realized Kiley is less than an inch shorter so it is deceiving! I think she just doesn't sit as tall yet. Kiley was 27.25 inches and Sydney was 28 inches long. Sydney is holding the lead in weight too as she is 20 pounds now and Kiley is 17.15 pounds. Healthy happy girls!

Kiley - Striking a pose.

She loves to give you a shy look and puts her head to the side and smiles

She scrunches up her face to smile a lot too. She is always full of smiles!

Sydney Striking a pose

Sydney loves to pose now and always shrugs her shoulders in and looks so cute!

Always has the tongue out!

Brother's At Play

Steve and Dave - Spring Sledding Day new Mount Lolo. We could not have asked for a better day up at the Cabin.

Here is Dave Playing. And they say Kamloops doesn't get snow.....

Here is Steve "Boon-docking". Steve and Michelle's sleds got alot of use this year.

Top the world (Kamloops that is). Here we are at the top of Mt. Lolo. 35minute sled climb from the Cabin. From here you can see all of Kamloops and Todd Mountain where Sun Peaks Ski Resort is located.
