Merry Christmas

We had a fabulous Christmas this year. The girls are a way too young to know what was going on but loved seeing family and being spoiled rotten. They got lots of cuddle time in with Auntie Michelle, Nana, Grandpa, Opa and Auntie Wendy and had a great time watching all their cousins opening their presents. Next year will be even better. We hope to have Christmas at our new house in Kamloops and have both our families together. Our niece Devyn is 1 month older so the girls will have a blast opening presents and playing together. We hope they will be good at sharing too by then! We are so excited to not have to cram the van full and travel next year like we did all this week. If anyone needs any advice on cramming a uhaul's worth of stuff into a minivan-Dave is your man!!

In case I didn't make it clear before

It is official-the girls DO NOT like peas! We used up the rest of the jar and Sydney, although she made many faces, got through hers but Kiley did not do as well. Kiley apparently suffers from the "Creed gag reflex problem". She was hilarious to watch. She was gagging and choking and plain old pushing the peas out with her tongue. What an ordeal. Now I know how my parents felt and how Wendy feels as Jayden has the same problem! I can't say that I blame her though so we are moving on from peas today! I do think it proves though (help me with this Jayden) that we are born with it and it can't be helped?!? I did make her still eat the peas but I am pretty sure that none of it actually stayed down!

What a face.....

but still cute as ever!

Oh how hard it is to share!

Actually I wanted that one Kiley!

Fine don't share with me

They even want the same toys on the playmat now, it is so funny to watch them. The orange sun is their favorite so they take turns on that side of the mat but always reach over the other one to get it anyways.

Ewwwwww

Kiley and Sydney tried peas for the first time and our friend Barb captured their not so happy faces on camera. We thought that we had better start with peas since once they discover that there are much better foods out there they won't be wanting peas again! They made faces but at least they kept on eating, they must be Daddy's girls!

More food please...

The girls are starting to get the hang of eating, well sorta. They are at least interested in it which is the main thing right?!?. Sydney is now staring at everything we put to our mouth to eat or drink, it makes you feel really guilty for not sharing! Kiley is definitely catching on quicker and grunts for more if you take to long to reload her spoon between bites.

Ready for food Mom and Dad!

Sydney wide eyed as usual and wearing her food too.

And they say it doesn't snow in Langley

Wow we are getting hit with some snow!! The roads all around us are closed so it is a good thing we don't need any diapers or formula cause we won't be going anywhere for awhile. This city shuts down with a quarter of this amount of snow so you can imagine the chaos going on around us. It is beautiful though. Dave was like a little kid this morning-until the shovelling began!

With the addition of Dave's new Prius for work, we have 4 vehicles
now. It is a good thing that the Cutlass is in Kamloops for now to make room!

Snowfalls and Santa

An exciting weekend for our girls! They got to see their first big snowfall and we even went to see SANTA!! The girls were okay for a few minutes until Sydney pulled his beard and was trying to eat a piece of his hair. Then Kiley finally turned around and saw who was holding her and it was all over. We were lucky to get this shot-the photographer works fast (I think she has been getting lots of practice).

I think we saw them sneak Santa their list.....uh oh
