Grandpa Gerry gets put to work May 8
Grandpa Gerry came to stay with us only to be put to work helping Dave carry furniture upstairs and putting the cribs together. I think this is only the beginning of "some assembly required" stuff over the next oh say....20 years!
Our new Rainforest swing that Steve, Michelle and her family got the girls for my baby shower. I know they will be spending lots of time in this!

Dave working hard in the nursery May 8
The painting is finished now on to the next job! I think Dave is in the wrong career as he really is an excellent painter. The nursery is really coming together and I can't wait to get my hands on it and start putting in all the fun stuff. I have been driving Dave crazy to get it painted so I think he is relieved to have me off his back and to be going back to his paid job tomorrow!

Fly Fishing after the ice comes off....
While on Holidays in May, Dave deBalinhard and I headed up to the cabin for a couple of days of R&R and fly fishing. Fishing was excellent! I thought I was the top dog with a 3lb trout hoisted in from the depth's. That all came to an end when Dave caught his monster 7.5lb trout on his fly line. The fish was a lively spawner fighting for 30 minutes and jumping multiple times.
Me and my sis. Bellies all around....

Here are a few pictures of Wendy and I with our big bellies! Wendy is 7 weeks ahead of me but boy did I catch up to her (and then some). The picture on top is from my baby shower April 28th and the one below was taken in January, I think. I will have to ask Inez on that though as she took the picture and is the memory queen :)

Surprise Baby Shower April 28 in Vernon!

Wow, was I in the dark on this one! While in Vernon for our holidays, so Dave could play in a traditional memorial hockey tournament and we could visit family and friends, I had a big surprise! My sister threw a baby shower for me. I was totally clueless and poor Dave and Jarett had the big burden of trying to get me there on time and Jayden had to make up a story about hockey camp. What good liars they all are. It was a fabulous day for me and a huge thank you to everyone who made it so special! We sure got spoiled and I can't wait to see all the cute outfits on the girls. Thank you Wendy for all the hard work I know it took to pull that off-You are the best!

(Ignore the bad grass as we had yet to start this years yard work then. It looks fabulous now though after Dave's holidays-poor guy having me supervise :)
