Tansferred again!

Yahoo! Another Transfer announcement! Crazy we know, transferred 4 times in the last 2.5 years and buying and selling 4 houses in 3 years. This time I have been given the tremendous opportunity to manage the newly renovated, busy Walnut Grove Save-On-Foods store located next to Head Office. It is going to be a challenge running one of the flag ships stores in the "fish bowl" but this will be offset by the improvements in our quality of life. I will be saving 3 hours a day in commuting and enjoying the 10 minute drive to my new store. My small time in North Vancouver was great but the traffic was killing me. In 20 years, I have never lived this close to work (expect when Donna and I lived in Westbank for 6 weeks).
This move is excellent for us with the expansion of our family this summer!

EXTRA EXTRA -READ ALL ABOUT IT!

Well we have Big, exciting news to share with everyone. We are expecting TWINS this summer!! On Friday January 5th, it finally seemed real! We heard a heart beat for the very first time (too hard to distinguish 2). Donna is feeling great, except she can't wear her regular work pants anymore. Maternity shops are happy with the sound of our money. Exciting times ahead as we expand our little Blackmore family this summer.

News! New Beginnings - Babies in the oven!

The pictures are not too clear - only 6 weeks old

New pics coming soon at 18 weeks!

We don't think Kiera knows just how much this will change her life.

At 13 weeks - Early pic of Donna with our little "bump"

2007 - New Years at the cabin

Happy New Year Everyone!

That's us - Dave and Donna

We started New Years 2007 with a bang... Literally. Friends and family joined us as we brought in the new year at our cabin with a bunch of smuggled fireworks Steve ordered and delivered on the Greyhound. What a crowd. The Blackmores -Steve, Michelle, Branden, Megan, Mom and Dad. The Embleton's - Chris, Julie Alex and Nick. Our Neighbours - Rocky and Margy, Family friend- Cassidy, and of course Grandpa Joe. We spent the day prepping the fireworks, playing poker and recovering from riding Steve and Michelle's Ski-Doos.

Julie (July) with Alex and Nick before the fireworks.

Steve on the top of Mount Lolo. Harper mountain in the background. Hard to believe this view is only a 20 minute Ski-Doo ride from the cabin.
